The row ot girls sitting in the back have had their hair set and are now drying it in the electric dryers. ln front are tour girls giving the others a mani- cure to take advantage of the time used under the dryers. This is a view taken inside of Auto Shop lacing Main Street. The boys in the tore- ground are adjusting valve clearance on a Ford engine. Iust in back of them, two boys are using a sun dwell tach-tester on a Plymouth engine. The others are tighten- ing the head bolts with a tension wrench on a Ford V-8 engine. This is a portion of Sheet Metal Shop showing the most used or busiest section On the left are two boys rolling round pipe The two next to the bench are laying out and cutting sheet iron later to be rolled into round pipe. On the right the boys are operating the sheet metal brake used to bend flat pieces of metal. In the back two boys are working on the spot welder. This is a portion of woodworking shop seen when standing near the door. In the foreground are a bandsaw and a machine saw. On the left a boy is sharpening a chisel on the grinder. Most of the boys in the back are putting the finishing touches on several stands. This is a northwest view showing the radio and electronics group of Electric Shop. Most of the boys are engaged in bench work which includes assembling various types of radio receiving equipment from plans furnished by the instructor. The club is under the leadership of Presi- dent George Ouelette ably assisted by Lin- vil1eIorde the Vice Presidentg Clavton Dame Secretary- Robert Abraham Treasurer- Rob- ert Simpson and Frank Wentworth Ser- geants at Arms The club is supervised by Mr Clarence Webster the club s advisor and can ell r The high point of the year was the annual 1-f1Y Conference which Nas held in Dover This Conference the thirty-ninth of its kind and the first to be held in Dover proved to be the best and the mo t interesting to be held yet. Much of the credit must go to the club officers the club members and to the four Tri-1-li-Y Clubs who gladly rendered their services by helping to provide the necessary entertainment for the visiting members of the Hi-Y.
