LEST YE FORGET -1924.0-My 'Q' Dover High School SOCIETY When school first began the agriculture d' ass took several Vfield triips. One day we went up to Mr. Barr's and brought the Agriculture pig to its new home down at Miss Smithfs. We built the pen and installed the pig in its new home. One day the class went down and chopped kindling for their suppers. After sup- per was served we :fl sat around and told jokes and ghost stories. We departed at a late hour each declaring that Miss Smith was an ideal hostess. Mrs. Reams' Party Mrs. Reams gave a party in honor of the football boys and their girls. All re- ported a very enjoyable time. Mrs. Streeter's Party Mrs. Streeter gave a party to the football boys and their girls on Mr. S.treeter's birthday, October 4. The crowd gathered and all went in a bunch to the house. Up- on arriving they discovered that Mr. Streeter was up at the school house. He was telephoned that one wof his children was sick and to come home, he wa'ked into the room where the young people weref gathered. Of course he was very much surprised. The evening was spent in playing games. In one game Miss: Ester Fash received first prize which was a monkey that' was given for making the best pig out of a potato. Mr. Port Clodfeylter received the booby prize which was a rubber clown. Another game was played in which Mfss Christine Sherwood receivedl first prize which was a musical whirligig. The booby prize of a sack of a'l day suckers was given to Mr. Jelly Egves- ton. Mr. Streeter received first prize in another game and Mr. Leslie Chambers a'so received a booby pnfze of a head of cabbage, which was very appropriate-. Mr. Maur'ce Martin, captain of the team gave a talk and presented Mr. Streeter with a sweater from the footbdl boys. Lunch was served after which Mr. Streeter was given a whipping with pancake turners. Everyone wished Mr. Streeter many more happy birthdays. All enjoyed themselves and resolved to return again. Clodfel, ter's Birthday The Basketball teams surprised their coach Mr. Port Ciodfelter on the night of his birthday, Jan. 3. The boys practiced basketball. After .supper the girls gathered at Mr. Clark's and wenrt' to the school house in a bunch. After practice was over games were played. The most important event that happened was the basketba'l game that was played by the faculty and students. Some of 'the star players were, Miss Vevia Smih, Miss Ester Fash, Mr. Madden and Mr. Streeter. QWho wlon the game will always be a question in the mfnds of both teams. A light lunch was served which was enjoyed b ai. YA coat sweater was 'presented to Mr. ClodfeIter from the two teams. After wish- ing Mr. Ciodfelter many more happy birthdays they al went down to meet the train that was to bring Miss Hoagland's friend, Mr. Anderson, as the train pufled in songs were sung to welcome him to our little city. They were escorted by the gang to the hotel and after sing'ng a farewelil song the gang dispersed and went to their respect.ve homes having had a very enjoyable evening.
