PCRT CLODFELTER, fBabeJ Basketball Coach ln the world there are stars of all kinds, stars in Heaven, stars at the theatre, musical stars, Basketball stars etc. Such a star guides and animates the destinies of the basket ball activi- ties Dover Hi in the person of Babe Cludfelter. Although handicapped at the early part -of the season, due to the effects U i of the 'Flu' made a wonderful come-back at the close of the season, with the same i vigor and? 'determination that characterizes a rea' Basketball player. g -- Q - Maurice M-ertin CAbeJ as forward completed his third year of Basketball for Dover, i aithough sacrificing his hea'th to accompl'sh it and being forced to quit in the early I U part of the season. But during the time that he did play, his excellent team-work. U combined with his accurate goal-tossing made him feared by all opponents. g -- a Loyd Wzight CD'nl:J as forward displayed a type of Basketball that deserves the aid- i mfratlon of h s spectators, team mates and opponents, always pfaying a clean hard l l fought game, taking defeat as cheerfufly as victory and never tak'ng adavantage of l the opportunity that his posiifoii affords him, in making the score. i . ! Ted Payne fPercyD playing stationary guard was the bufwark of Dover's defense f Q handling two or three men as easily as one... Only Percy's opponents kvew how hard Q it was for them to enter Dover's defense, when Percy was determined that they . i should notl enter or score. His courageous spirTt, as well as excellent judgment, were i the determining factors in a great many of Dover's victories. This is: Percy's last . . year due to the route of graduation and he will no doubt be missed excced'ng'y from l the squad next year. , I l : Leslie Chambers, CFirpoJ though playing the position of running guard, tied with ' Paul Turner for second high point man. Les with his speed, pivot and clever floor U work kept his opponents: vxorried through out the game.
