New subjects were encountered by the freshmen, more difficult than any they had ever had before. Not only were the subjects new, but there was a great deal more home work. Everyone had a difficult time in choosing what clubs to join for there were many from which to choose. Class dues laid the foundation of the freshman treasury. The highlight of the year was their class dance, held in the social hall on April 1. Attention was drawn to this event by means of colorful posters, punning the theme, “Adventure in Paradise,” with a picture of a pair of dice! Fred Breme was responsible. This project added more money to the growing freshman class till. Don Miller (treasurer) reported to his fellow class officers, Sandra Hynson (president), Stanley Slaght (vice-president), and Sandra Studley (secretary) that something must be done to increase their treasury. ponhirtert ire Green, Orel lo Front: R.
