FUTURAMA 1965 As we see another shtp comrng from earth we can t help wondering If any one else who had graduated wtth us at Dover had come to settle on the moon Now there IS a very large sized settlement here but we cant help re memberung how rt was when we arrnved The furst space shrp the XX 59 left the earth two years ago Commandung the space shup was Commander Joseph Levnsky and has crew Dean Gross chref mechanlc Larry Goodyear assistant and crewmen Ronald Jacoby Curvrn Howard Francls Toker Davld Elsenhart Ralph Lentz Ronald Shaf fer Jack Muller Thomas Green and Barry Zelgler Ann Ferrence and Bar bara Kuesslrng were the doctor and nurse who Went along on the trap Ron ald Leeper and Guy Young were along because they were the scuentrsts who made all thus space travel possible In the next two years a settlement had sprung up on the moon lust as nf It were back on earth Space ships came regularly with more and more people from earth The settlement Green Cheesevllle now has many business establlsh ments Judy Johnson operates a florist shop The growing of plant ltfe has been made possuble by Clark Bosserman and has assustant Patrtcra Ludwlg who have experimented with these plants for many months Just down the street from hum rs a beauty salon operated by Lorranne Wolf There IS a very nlce elementary and hugh school nn Green Cheesevulle Some famulnar faces are Rodney Hoffman musuc teacher Donald Frckes math teacher JoAnn Urey buslness teacher and Jeanne Pentz and Dale Barbara Doardorff Connie Bechtel Joan Hemdel and Vrvlan Craun lt seems that the class of 59 has produced a great many secretarues Barbara Wolf Donna Warner Janette Peop Betty Harbold Patrlcla Kohler and Dorls Gladfelter who work ID many of the businesses In the clty Some of the promtnent people of Green Cheesevllle are a lawyer Ronald Clark has private secretary Eva Harlacker Also the mtnlsters Jack Orr Donald Crone and Carol Crone who IS a mrnlsters wife Larry Coble who rs a forest ranger and Donald Knlsely a farmer are helpmg to keep the moon green Joyce Tomey the receptlonlst at the hospital IS workrng wuth the nurses Mary Gurdler Mary Davts and medical secretarles Joan Smuth Syble Colman and Eva Ware Helpung to buuld up the communuty IS mason Barry Roller and has ap prentuce Frank Harlacher Carl Serfert Robert Harlacher Gerlad Harlacher and Joseph Spangler are carpenters who are bulldung a new sectton to the cr Along with the Army and Arr Force the Navy has stationed here some sallors Some of them being members of the class of 59 They are Robert Craun Wnlltam Tokar Robert Welsh Rnchard Ness James Gross and Paul Lentz We walk down to the airport and there we see the flrst women of the Armed Forces to be statnoned on the moon come down the ramp Among them are Jane Smuth Mary Ann Dragon and Barbara Scott The class of 59 really has made a name for ntself by helpmg to discover and settle the moon ll II . . , . .
