Man, this is the lite! A Homeroom Teacher's Lament A history ot a section of the OV Senior Class when they were Juniors written by their Gosh-What an lnglorious llth Grade Report Card Term! homeroom leather' Mrs' Garlen I scarcely thought that there could be Such silly lines as these I see, Such thoughts expressed in pic and rhyme Upon the blackboards of Room Nine- This verse that wails of Jean's car-cares, Of Joan's and JoAnn's heart affairs, Of Knokey's woes and Joseph's prose And Carlson's-Fickes' verbal blows. This gang has talent, prowess, strength, To Wit: its spirit, at great length. They could laud Ness' or Bievie's scores, Or Carl's, on fields or matted floors, Or Larry's kicks, Bosserman's dash, Band, chorus, cheers, athletic clash, The Donalds', Ronalds', also Joes' Achievements in the Aggie shows. Jacoby, Leeper, Gross and Orr- As well as girls-the quietf?J corps- Yes, Doris, Pat-their spirits hot- And Darlene, Nadean, Shirley, Scott All leave their mark fThey are quite hepl And quiet Brenda, Maxine Zepp. lt's Bob and Eva's holding-hands A Gives ballast in these shifting sands. Newsette and library claim shares Of Ann's and Mary Helen's cares. Mary and Barb, their deeds unsung, Belong, as does the big Guy Young. Douglass, and Hewitt, newcomer Clark All add their bit to Room Nine's spark. Alack! When history tells their fame 'T may note one term when not a name Among these charges reached the goal Of the Distinguished Honor Roll. Have fun! they say, and ioke and play. WHY WON'T THEY WORK TO GET THAT A ?
