The Memoscope HISTORY OF THE DOVER HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION The Dover I-Ilqh School Alumni Association was organized May 26 I936 The meeting was called to order by the Principal ot the High School Prof Scott W Knaub Several of the alumni were nomina ed by the other alumni tor cast and the following officers were elect d President Edward Klingman Vice President Dale Bauqhman Secretary Arlene Iulius Treasurer George May Reporter Frances Gamber Meetinqs were held once a month until it was tully organized then they were held whenever called by the president or as sta ed 1n the by law A comm1ttee was appointed by the president to decide the amount of du s pay able to be a member of the association Twenty tive cents was set as the amount The committee also decided to hold a banquet once a year The association orqanlzed a basketball team in December IQ37 The president for the year of l937 was Wllliam Kehm l938 Anna Daron l939 Anna Daron l94U Ralph Deardortt The first banquet was held Sept 9 l936 in the Y W C A qymnasium which was largely attended The assoc1at1on recently helped to p rchase the new encyclopaedia that ha been placed in the Dover I'I1qh School RAI PH DIERDORFF SHERMAN FREY President Vice President DAVID LAIRD DALE BAUGHMAN Secretary Treasurer FAIRY SLOTHOWER LEWIS BENTZEL Reporter Athletlc Manager Page Thuty . . , , . . - - L .
