Lack of communication is definitely not a problem here at Douglass. How could we possibly bind together on the battle field and at play if not for communication and togetherness? Communication, as we know, is a most vital concept. without it an existence as we know it couldn't be possible. The unique thing about us however, is how we put that concept to work. Through many activities we show respect for each others views and actions, as only members of a school of our caliber can do. We start every day at Douglass by hearing the members of our announcers club inform us of upcoming activities, messages from administration and counselors, and events we need to plan for. We could not manage without this valuable service. The newspaper and yearbook staffs at Douglass serve the purpose of recording some of these same events and activities for our memories and the enlightenment of future Trojans. They are the true historians of Douglass and without their efforts the great Trojan tradition would not be preserved. The Drama Club at Douglass provides the Trojans with cultural communication and entertainment at assemblies throughout the year. All these groups keep the communication lines open. To these young people it is an honor to be in this club, because to become a member you have to maintain a certain grade average.
