Each participant has an important part to play l wouldn't want to be in any other organization. Felecia House l think Concert Choir is a very important activity. Mr. Hicks goes above and beyond the normal duties of a music teacher. His influence on the students makes them want to have a good choir, that's why l think we do Mike Summers Mixed Chorus to me is not just a class of students. it's more like a family. Most of us are Freshman. and the year started out slowly because we were scared of each department. Seperately, they are but a single sound. But when assembled, they bring together a sound beyond compare. With the beat of our own DHS Drummers, the band, drill team, twirlers and maiorettes snap to attention. With a glance from Mr. Hicks, the choir stands tall. After hours of practice and sacrifice, the results are evident. Their skill and percision is displayed whether it be on the field or stage. With pride in their hearts and smiles on their faces, each member takes his or her place in the line of tradition that has made Douglass High School a true example of unity. other.
