Durham ui U 0 1 i C- Cn The .lob Interdisciplinary Cooperative Education, otherwise known as ICE, is a vocational program designed to give students on- the-job training in a chosen career while students earn credit for time spent in the class room and on the iob itself. Students enrolled in ICE get a total of 4 credits and are also paid by their employers for the work they do. Students work a variety of jobs, depending on their occupational ob- jective - what they want to do when they grow up and get big. Those jobs include secretarial jobs, food service oc- cupations, grocery industry, variety and department stores, and many more. In addition to their' jobs, students join the vocational youth organization, affiliated with the program - VICA. Through this organization, students build leadership by participating in various activities which supplement the learning process.
