Below left we have Brenda Boykin, our outstanding 2nd baseman, swooping off base for a quick double play which came often for the victorious team. Baseball played in the spring and Softball in the fall both play a big part in the Douglass Terri- tory. The baseball team has two returning let- termen. But with all the great potential in the newcomers it will be a sure bet for a winning season. The Trojettes stuck together during ups and downs. Friendships grew and the help and un- derstanding of Mrs, Alexander helped them to work together for a great season. The season ended with 9 wins and 5 losses. A 2nd place in city was well earned by them. They defeated strong hitting teams to the end. Softball

if 1 . What's new at DHS? The soccer team and golf teams are the latest members of Trojan sports. This makes the third year to have a golf team and the second year to have a soccer team. The soccer team competes with other schools who have organized a soccer team. The golf team competes in tournaments throughout the area.
