Female Edition Defies Opposition I978-79 Douglass 4 Classen Douglass I Del City O 5 if! Doubles team of Dawn Partridge and Dalita Hilterbran took several medals in their class. At Central State they took first place in the consolation finals, took first place in Douglass 6 Star Spencer O Douglass 3 Grant I Douglass 6 Putnam City West 3 Douglass 3 Northeast 3 Douglass 4 N.W. Classen O Douglass 3 Southeast I I Douglass 4 Capitol Hill O Douglass I Del City 5 I Douglass 4 Southeast O Douglass 4 Guthrie O Douglass 2 John Marshall 2 the Chickasha Inv. Below left we have Brenda Boykin, our outstanding 2nd baseman, swooping off base for a quick double play which came often for the victorious team. Baseball played in the spring and Softball in the fall both play a big part in the Douglass Terri- tory. The baseball team has two returning let- termen. But with all the great potential in the newcomers it will be a sure bet for a winning season. The Trojettes stuck together during ups and downs. Friendships grew and the help and un- derstanding of Mrs, Alexander helped them to work together for a great season. The season ended with 9 wins and 5 losses. A 2nd place in city was well earned by them. They defeated strong hitting teams to the end. Softball
