Miles IO - Faculty Today we all realize we are confronted with more prob- lems locally, nationally and internationally. demanding more knowledge and skills than ever in history We are faced with an explosion of knowledge, we are faced with a burst of technology, we are faced with the discovery of new forms of energy, we are faced with the rise of new nations and a world-wide rivalry of idealogies and we are faced with a new leisure, thrust upon us by automation. All of these affect the training or retraining of t.....-ur Wits!-A. young men and women. This brings into sharp focus the responsibility of secondary education. The future which we must hurry to imagine is already at the front door tx. Ideas and ideals sometimes seem far away, but each step can bring us nearer to what we desire. What ever our goal, if we grasp and hold to it, it becomes the wisest decision we ever made. We should be determined to invest our life in the future. Only by in- vesting in the future will our invest- ment yield good dividends. The most precious privilege you can have is to share with others in the making of great enterprises. We must remember that our desires I2 Faculty become our frontiers. lt is the fron- tiers that are capable of shaping great people. The future is filled with challengesi the process of do- ing things, of asking questions of reality. and helping together with many other people to find answers.
