The class otticers were trom lett to right: Jackie Murrell, student council representative: Velma Madison, reporterg Bernadette Puckett, secretary, Linda Williams, tirst vice president: Saundra Wiley, president: Lana Pogue, assistant secretary and Sallie Harris second vice president. All girls elected to leod Sophomores' crctivities Sophomores generally make themselves known by their behavior, be it good or inditterent. This year's sophomore class came into Douglass with an ettervescence exhibiting a sincere desire to do, and they really did. Several times they captured the spirit stick at pep assemblies. The athletic teams were complemented by their participation and they made themselves known academically. Boasting the largest class in the school, they sought to tit in rather than to stand out. Even though this was ac- complished, they still maintained a certain individualized identity as a group. ln this time ot contusion and uncertainties, the sopho- mores must tind values and ideals.
