Mr. D. A. Wisener Commercial Teacher Resigned in 1948 For Mrs. L. Marie Robinson June 3, 1955 will be the date of her retirement after forty- eight years of service in the Oklahoma City Public Schools. During this time she has seen much growth and development in phy- sical plants, in curricula, and in teacher train- ing. She has been able to realize her dream of teaching in the new,Douglass Senior High School. Mrs. Robinson received her undergraduate training in Scotia-Barbara College at Con- cord, North Carolinag Emporia Teachers' Col- lege at Emporia, Kansas and Langston Uni- versity, earning the B.S. degree at the last named institution. The last seventeen years of her career have been done in the field of social science. When asked for her philosophy of life, Mrs. Robin- son gave this reply: When an individual be- comes self-satisfied with his knowledge, learning ceases and growth is blocked. Growth is fundamental for good teaching. Mrs. Robinson's plans for the future in- clude the growth she mentioned, for she plans to do the traveling she has looked forward to for so long. As she goes out to continue her very interesting life, we of Douglass say, Bon Voyage.
