K F 'E C3 - N.,, G A Q f NN The activities at Douglass, being spon- sored by the various organizations, have been very numerous during the year Early in the year, the Athletic Asso ciati on portant program e Armis ti was organized which played an im part in helping to put the athletic over ' Boys' Hi Y Club gave their Innual c Day Social, the receipts from which were used to send four delegates to the Dis trict Meeting at Princeton, Kentucky The Girl Reserves entertained their fri ends with their annual formal just before the Chris trms holidays which was a gala affair They also sent a representative to the Youth Council at Louisville and delegates to the District Meeting at Paducah The N F A Club represented with four delegates at the State Judging Contest held at Kentucky State College and sponsored their annual Intra Mural basketball tournament This year more interest and enthusiasm Were shown in the contest sponsored each year to crown nmiss Douglass Each class raised a neat sum and the contest ended with Miss Mabel Etta Brooks, a Junior, nosing out Miss Iriah Kendrick, a senior, by a sum of ll cents play tournament held at Clarksville, Tennessee 'Ihe Music Department purchased robes for the chorus which appeared on various programs throughout the city As '1 whole, the activities at Douglass have been very successful for which we are in deed grateful to our patrons and friends ax Th ' x so .. t I l .,, The Dramatic Club won the trophy at the n
