The band seemed to excell in everything it faced. Playing with half the band, having a few days to prepare for a performance, rain, and other problems were commonplace for the band and their director, Bill Bush. Top honors were given to the D.H.S. Marching Band at the Kansas State Fair. Three one's were awarded for the band's performance on rainy Hutchinson streets last fall. The Fall concert was a success as well. Some of the special people in the band last year were the flags and band majorette, Krissy Bell. The flag team members, along with the majorette, performed at many games and special programs. The whole band was sad to see Mr. Bill Bush leave the music program to become a counselor at the Elementary school in Douglass. He was a valuable music educator who will be missed in times to come. Band Majorette, Krissy Bell Flag members: Sheila Tatom, So.; Starla Miller, So.; Sandi Davis, Sr.; Trish Weaver, Sr.; Melanie Baum, Sr.; Lisa Huster, Jr.
