JUNIORS

Months ahead of time the junior class was carefully planning the big event. Ordering, organizing, ideas, thoughts and many disagreements! As the time grew nearer and the day before was upon them, all the juniors were faced with the big task. The Gymnasium! The big, empty gym became a madhouse with tape, streamers, and scissors strung all over. The juniors worked very hard and faithfully through the night and came back early the next morning. Finally they had accomplished the big task. The big, empty gym had turned into a Tropical Splendor. The time had come for all. The night of April 17, 1982 had juniors, seniors, faculty and staff out Looking for the Lights. Before all had a chance to dig into the Hawaiian buffet, the senior class presented their sponsors an Orchid and thanked them for all the support they had given to them. President of the Junior Class, Jonny Condon, gave the Welcome. The President of the Senior Class, Cassandra Bell, gave the Response. Entertainment was given by Mike Lowery and Cynthia Hamilton. They sang Out Here on My Own. Mr. Parker give the Comments and Mr. Donley gave the Closing. After all had a chance to eat and talk, it was off to the Prom. All were surprised when the gym doors opened and they saw a Tropical Delight; fountains, palm trees, grass huts, fish nets-the whole works. Music was provided by Twenty-first Century Sound. The whole night was truly a Tropical Delight. 17
