It has been a good year in scholarship, in music, in dramatics and in athletics. Students have assumed responsibility for their part in school government through their elected representatives on the Student Council. Individual students have received recognition in state and national tests and awards. It is our hope that this book will afford many happy memories to the students, faculty, and friends of the school. S. initiated the Freshmen. This gala event oc- curred all day long and into the night at the football game. The seniors really enjoyed this day because the freshmen were slaves to the seniors. The freshmen girls were at- tired in gunny sacks to represent the sack and chemise dresses. They wore bars of soap around their necks, half of their hair pinned up with tooth picks and the other half braided in pig tails, with binding twine tied on the ends. To top it off they carried baby bottles. The boys wore girls' dresses cut off short, lipstick,nai1polish, soap around their necks, and carried dolls. Both boys and girls had to have buckets, bows on their toes, all colors of shoe polish, and a glass to carry water to the seniors. The freshmen showed very good sportsmanship on this oc- casion. They were very willing to do what their seniors told or asked them to do and had fun doing it.
