Queen Karen was crowned at the school spring party and ruled over the event with— pomp and grandeur. ihe dress was of yellow taffeta under net. Other members of the coronation party were: Alverta Tice, Carole Creekmore, Vivian Mitchell, Robert Brill, Virgil Brower, Carol Smith, Larry Cornel ison, Freda Shaver, and Virginia McNown. The girls were in white and lovely pastel formals. The Magic Touch 7 ■Honon and Queenn Rags To Riches Ann McDaniels A David Learned A point system is used in the selection of the Honor King and Queen. Points are given for grades and participation in activities with emphasis placed on grades. Nancy Perisho and Ann McDaniels tied in points in the girls' division and David Learned was the boys' winner. Nancy Perisho ootball Queen Sittin on Top of The World Carol Smith, senior, was crowned Miss Football of 1956 after the homecoming game with South Haven November 9. Kenneth Hodges was captain. On February 1, between the B and A Games with Belle Plaine, Jeanette Bannon was crowned Basketball Queen for 1957. Price Smith, as crown bearer, led the procession which formed at the rear of the auditorium, the proceeded to the stage for the coronation. Connie Jo Burns, and Betsy Taylor, escorted by Don Darter and Don McBee were attendants. George Smith escorted Queen Jeanette to the throne, placed the crown upon her head and gave the traditional coronation kiss.
