To honor those juniors a11d seniors with averages of 90 or above who have excelled in character, service, leadership. and scholarship is the purpose of the Na- tional Honor Society. This year nine juniors and twelve seniors were tap- ped and so honored. After the induction ceremony a reception was held for the new members and their parents. Services to the school have been many. Nlembers policed the grounds. gathering trash to improve the appearance of the school. Trophies in the trophy case 18 were polished. The Society also operated a second- hand book store for the exchange or sale of literature books. Blue and gray DSF pennants were sold in the halls and at basketball games by the organization. to raise money toward a school camera or a plaque honoring graduating members. Miss Ada Land a11d Nlrs.
