a. Sociology classes learn about other cultures as well as our own. b. Along with a detailed study of sociology, an outside proiect is required. c. World History teaches about the world as it existed long ago. d. Students are required to take government before graduation. e. Freshmen take American History as their first form of social studies. f. Each aspect of the federal or state political scene is discussed in government. g. World problems such as inflation and foreign policies are reviewed in detail in the World Problems class. h. Research papers, reports and group work are all a part of the studies in World History. 68

Physical Education plays a very important part in MacArthur's student activities. Students participate in softball, football, swimming and other exercises. During one of their eight semesters of P.E., they loin together in classrooms to study Health.
