X, . iii 1 r sex NYG' iii C The determination and durability of our band led to many awa rd s at the various contests during the year. a. Drums play an important part in tempo and speed. b. Nineteen MacArthur Band members hold seats in the 1973-74 district band. c. Carol Kempenski practices diligently on her part of the song.

a. Symphonic Band members won medals for superb performance at solo and ensemble contest. b. The trumpet section always stays alert. c. Senior Ricky White is awarded the Outstanding Band member award. d. Another song is rehearsed during classroom practice. e. Regional orchestra honors were captured by: Michael Frederick - bassoon lnot picturedl, Ricky White -- trombone, Carol Jonte - Percussion and Ildefonzo Flores - trumpet. f. The baritone section always makes sure they know their music. g. The alto-clarinet work hard on playing concert music. h. A new piece of music means more practice forthe trombone section. i.
