an X. , , I . I X QQ Upon the selection of the yearbook theme, around which the yearbook is built, the staff, editor and sponsor spend the first few weeks of the new school year suggesting different ideas for the theme, and in general trying to find a theme that will be suitable for the atmosphere of the school that year. This year the staff, and I, agreed on a theme that seemed most appropriate to tell the story of the M.H.S. '68 school year. It is a theme, we feel, that is in accordance with the day and time in which we live. This '6NOW time is full of action and excitement. Instead of going straight home from school We spend most of our time working on extra-curricular activ- ities. Something is always happening. For these rea- sons, the theme WHERE THE ACTION IS has been selected to depict student life at lVlacArthur High School. As editor of the '68 lVIacArtair, I feel that this year- book is an improvement over the last, and I feel that next year's book will be an improvement over this. It takes time for a yearbook to become good, and it takes cooperation from both the staff members and the student body. As long as there is this cooperation between the two, the yearbook will continue to grow and im rove. . p Sincerely, Editor 5
