Despite losing season lscorewisel the 1983 Cross Country team was described by Coach McAuley as a young group who worked hard cooperated with their coach and each other and contln ually strived to be better He ob served Since we had some young runners in our top seven we were inconsistent ln our performances but always saw some improvement. In the last meet of the season six of our top seven ran their best times of the season and the seventh was suffering from a cold. Harriers On The Run Kinsler Sets Record This year held some firsts for the Girls Cross Country team. Sharon Kinsler was the White Pine Cham- pion with a new conference and course record of 20:11. She had an amazing first year record of: third in the County: fourth in the Regionals: fourth in the State: and she set the school record time of 19134. Coach Call commented that this was the first time in many years that we had five girls race and finish the season. Cross Country is a very grueling sport, and the girls deserve a lot of credit for their very good season.
