15B!Ski-team inter onderland Inspires Generals f if .,.--.,.,ML A The 1983-84 Douglas MacArthur ski team saw much more white stuff, then lasts season, with the only weather cancelation being that or the league meet. This year the ski-meets were held at Bintz's Ap- ple Mountain or Mt. Holly, where skiers competed for the best times in the Slalom and Giant Slalom. Top skiers for the 83-84 season were Matt Novak, Iulie Mayer, Angie Carrico. At the Regional ski- meet in Cadillac MacArthur fin- ished 13th and Matt Novak finished 6th. DM Coach Kris Agnew added that he was disappointed about five seniors leaving the team, but is looking forward to a new team next year. Harriers On The Run Kinsler Sets Record This year held some firsts for the Girls Cross Country team. Sharon Kinsler was the White Pine Cham- pion with a new conference and course record of 20:11. She had an amazing first year record of: third in the County: fourth in the Regionals: fourth in the State: and she set the school record time of 19134. Coach Call commented that this was the first time in many years that we had five girls race and finish the season. Cross Country is a very grueling sport, and the girls deserve a lot of credit for their very good season.
