A Disappointing But Fun Season Bieri Most Valuable T he 1983-84 season for the Varsity Volleyball Team will be remembered as a disappointing, but fun year. The team had a lot of good players, but they didn't work up to their fullest potential, which was disappointing, commented Coach Nancy Burnham. Although the girls agreed this year wasn't the greatest, they were still very proud of the special rela- tionship that grew between them and their coach, Nancy Burnham. This year was alot of fun and we believe Ms. Burnham's positive mental attitude changed the rela- tionship between the coach and her players, which helped the season go really well. We feel Ms. Burnham did a supepr job in coaching and we'll never forget her, stated the team. Special awards were given to Ann Bieri, Most Valuable Playerg Allison Klump, Most Improved Playerg Cindy Schaeff and Cathy Pfund, Sportsmanship: and Kelly Landeryou, Coach's Award. The season ended with a 13-14 win-loss record with 3 ties. Special awards on the I.V. Team went to: Most Valuable Player, Kel- ly Preugschatg Most Improved Play- er, Annie Yingling, Sportsmanship, Molly Buckley: Coach's Award, Iill Magnus. They were Coached by Elmer Shultz. 156!Volleyball Mt Pleasant Swan Valley Bridgeport Traverse City Essexville Garber Laker IEPBPJ Saginaw High Midland High Eisenhower Valley Lutheran Iohn Glenn Bridgeport Eisehower Midland Dow Buena Vista Arthur Hill Pmconning Oscoda Bay City All Saints Bridgeport Oscoda Tawas Eisenhower Iohn Glenn Buena Vista St Pete s OPP DM L .
