Besides performing at half time during football and basketball games, both squads performed ex- cellently at Regionals and State. At Regionals, which were held at SVSC, the varsity squad placed first and the I.V. squad grapsed a sec- ond place standing. At the State Competition, held in Dearborn Heights, both squads again per- formed up to par, with the varsity squad taking fourth place and the I.V. squad capturing second. The twelve members of the varsity squad, led by captain Linda Gay and co-captain Kelly Schadel, performed their routines to such songs as Hot Girls in Love, Goodbye To You, and Far From Over. The I.V. pom pon squad performed songs of lump , Cum on Feel the Noize and My Town. Their captain was Ienny Zolinski, aided by co-captain lulie Turner. The coach of both squads, Kathy Cawley, was pleased with the per- formance of the girls. I was very fortunate to have a talented group of people to work with. Their enthusiasm helped get us over the rough spots. Varsity worked to perform at their usual best and were a great asset by helping I.V.! I.V. made continual and impressive improvement throughout their sea- son! Page10 fTopJ Front Row: Linda Gay, Becky Leak, Mickey Houlihan, Cindy Harris. ax X 'ltr Each and every person goes through many impressions in one high school year. The yearbook staff's job is to capture and compile these impressions into one book. The staff began the 1983-84 year by selling yearbooks at the always successful yearbook dance. Then soon after that the hard work began, going out talking to business- men, and selling ads to provide for another top quality yearbook. Hard work and dedication managed to keep the staff busy covering plays, sports events, daances and other social activities. Much time was spent getting spreads done to meet the ever present deadlines. Last year the staff also had the pleasure of working with a comput- er once again. Most of the class learned how to type and send their own information on the computer. The yearbook was produced under the careful supervision of advisor Nancy Hainsey, Editor Georgiann Tarachas and Assistant Editor Dave Taylor. Business Manager was once again Michele Cinque and her Assistants wereBridget Markusic and Kelley Ureche.Photographers this year were Iason Turner, Ned johnson, Iohn Doyle, and Scott Leesch.
