They all made their contributions at different times during the sea- son, he added. The IV Basketball team had an oustanding record of 13 wins and 7 losses. Robert Groll led the team throughout the season, and because of his hard work he received the Most Valuable Player Award. The Most Improved Player Award went to Ioe LaBreche while Tim Harris earned the 150070 Award, and the Coaches Award was received by Iohn MacPhail. The Freshman A Basketball team who was coached by Mr. Tietz, completed their season with a 19-1 record, which is the best record in the school's history for a Freshman A team. Receiving awards were, Dan Fisk for Best De- fensive Player, Dennis Schumacher for Leading Scorer, Chris Nichols for Most Improved Player, and Andy Mehl received the Coach's Trophy. The Freshman B team coached by Mr. Benzenburg finished their season with 6 wins and 12 losses. The awards given were Best Offense going to Vinny Mosca, Eleary Rowe for Best Defense, Scott Baker received Most Im- proved Player Award, and the Coaches Award went to Tim Buckley. , . l 4
