T. Team finished their season with a win-loss record of 7-113. With the hustle, aggressiveness, and determination this team had, it was a successful season, commented Coach Bernie Call. Perhaps the highlight of this years season was the second game against B.V. when our players were ahead throughout most of the game, and almost pulled off the win be- fore falling short to a 57-52 score. B.V. went on to become State Run- ner-Up. This year's M.l.P. went to Mike Flynn. The Coaches Award was given to Chris Buckley. They all made their contributions at different times during the sea- son, he added. The IV Basketball team had an oustanding record of 13 wins and 7 losses. Robert Groll led the team throughout the season, and because of his hard work he received the Most Valuable Player Award. The Most Improved Player Award went to Ioe LaBreche while Tim Harris earned the 150070 Award, and the Coaches Award was received by Iohn MacPhail. The Freshman A Basketball team who was coached by Mr. Tietz, completed their season with a 19-1 record, which is the best record in the school's history for a Freshman A team. Receiving awards were, Dan Fisk for Best De- fensive Player, Dennis Schumacher for Leading Scorer, Chris Nichols for Most Improved Player, and Andy Mehl received the Coach's Trophy. The Freshman B team coached by Mr. Benzenburg finished their season with 6 wins and 12 losses. The awards given were Best Offense going to Vinny Mosca, Eleary Rowe for Best Defense, Scott Baker received Most Im- proved Player Award, and the Coaches Award went to Tim Buckley. , . l 4
