T he major goal of our 1983-84 Cheerleading Squads last year was to build school spirit, and that's exactly what they did! All three squads worked together with hopes of making last year at MacArthur the best! I think this year all the squads did very well. The freshmen girls started out strong and got better. The junior varsity squad improved greatly. It was thier first year to- gether and I feel they did an excel- lent job. The varsity squad also im- proved this year. Our friendship was the best part, said varsity captain Amy Guimond. The most memorable and exciting part of the girls' season was this year's Cheerleading Competition at CMU. They also attended a Dynamic Cheerleading Association competition, where IV took 6th place. The graduating seniors from this year's varsity squad are Amy Guimond, Becky Karkut, Margo MacArthur, and Cindi Zolinski. lUpper Leftl Varsity Cheerleaders, left to right: Margo MacArthur, Becky Karkut, Lisa Letson, Amy VanBoxclaer, Kathy Klonowski, Cindy Zolinski.
