FORENSICS Most of the members were dedi- cated and molded this team into a cohesive group, commented Grace Makrianis, caoch of this year's Forensics squad. What is Forensics? It consists of individual or group public speaking performances that are organized as contests or tournaments. Activites included in it a radio speaking, dramatic interpretation and numer- ous interpretations to name a few. Senior Amy Schwanbeck re- ceived second place trophies in tournaments and qualified for State Finals. Sophomore David Gardey took Znd place in tournaments and qualified for State Finals also. Freshmen Pam Murphy, a new- comer to the squad, competed in Informative Speaking and received first, second , and third place tro- phies in tournaments. She also placed in the final rounds at the Regionals. In addition, Iunior Paul Nielson took first and second place in Im- promptu Speaking and qualified for State Finals. The multiple reading group, Twilight Zone, whose speakers were Ned Connolly, Cindi Zolinski, Iohn Mehl, and Beth Murray took several first places in tournaments and qualified for State Finals.
