Margaret McQulIlan, President The Senior Class executed many fundraising projects with their main objective to earn enough money to admit the whole class into the annual Senior party. Selling different kinds of candy and sponsoring the annual 50's dance were just a couple of the ways they tried to raise the two thousand dollars needed. To promote class participation, many activities were planned that the two-hundred 'and ninety-five seniors could take part in as a group. Some of the activities were a hayride, a trip to a pizza parlor and a ski trip. The options of go- ing on the annual Senior trip to Cedar Point, was also open to all seniors. Held on May 4th in honor of all deserving seniors was the annual Senior Honor Banquet. The recipients of the Outstanding Senior Award, the DAR Award, the Civitan Award, the White Pine Principal's Award and the Prin- cipaI's Award were all given recognition. Academic awards, honor roll certificates and National Honor Society inductee awards were also presented. The entertainment for the evening was provided by Douglas MacArthur's jazz band, the Smithtonians. Prin- cipal, Oscar Huyghe, and Blue and White Club President, B.J. Humphreys, shared the master of ceremony role. Mr. Stahl presents an honor roll certificate to Paul Tlncknell. 8!SenIor Honors Banquet Mr. Huyghe presents the F'rincipal's Award to Steve Borello. National Honor Society President, Jlll Barry, presents an lnductee certificate to Lauri Davenport.
