Student Council Members Andy Martin and Klm Rich march holding the banner preceeding the float Battle of Flowers Climaxes Fiesta The bands and the bright colored floats line up and await their turn to march down Broadway at the Battle of Flowers Parade. Meanwhile, crowds sit anxiously hoping to catch a glimpse of someone they know or to see the queen's grand costume arrayed with brilliant jewels. Fiesta brought people together and the Battle of Flowers Parade was no exception. People started lining up along the parade route up to two hours before the parade actually began. Despite the humidity, the bands and people on floats flashed bright smiles to all who came to watch. The parade provided the merriment that makes Fiesta worthwhile, and when all was over, people were already looking forward to next year's Fiesta.
