In December, the Club osted its own Chess Tourna- ent attended by over 90 stu- ents from San Antonio chools . . .the chessmen swept lst place in 1st division at s own tournament . . . the eam was especially proud of s sweepstakes award at the rch Churchill Chess Tourna- CHC. ,,......,......-Q 1968-69 Chess Club members are: Jay Taylor, Thomas Grant, Rusty Hinote, john Crowder, Billy Landrum, Randy Williams, Mike Cady, Tom Sickman, Robert Moreland, and David Olson.

Art Club Travels To Find Beauty Joanne Lash entertains art club members at Canyon Lake. The art club members took trips to various places to better understand how to appreciate natural color and forms in nature and art . . . to see beauty in it's everyday environment . . .led by president, Kathy Ryang vice president, Tina Treutg secretary, Laurie Langstong and treasurer, Kathy Couser . . .the club took trips to Canyon Lake . . . I-Iemisfair . . . Enchanted Rock . . . Witte Muse- um . . . and McNay Museum . . . the art club is sponsored by Mr. Ray Biggs and Miss Pamela Griffis. X 4 y Teresa Farmer admires a piece of art work at the Witte Museum.

F.T.A. Completes Active Year Sponsor Miss Ryan Qupper lefty meets with FTA members to discuss plans for student teaching.
