Clarence Gerfers, next year's senior class chaplain, checks his notes during his campaign speech. The race for positions in MacArthur's student government involved the entire student body . . .Interest was aroused by campaign slogans, posters, speeches, and campus controversy . . . Election gimmicks included a goat and a boy dressed as a girl...Interest in and competition for offices was the highest in several years and provide an optimistic outlook for student government in 1969-70. ne of the high points of the elections was a vising goat, who was Deneice O'Connor's campaign manager.

Bairns hvened the Homecommg festivities with a Sp1r1t skit. and Churchill team captains shake hands before starting the game. And the 1968 Homecoming Queen is . . . Vickie, of the House of Willard . . . Vickie was crowned by 1966 Queen, Sandy Romo, who presented her with a bouquet of 12 roses...The crowning of the queen was one of a number of events in the Homecoming weekend, sponsored by the Student Council . . .The schedule of events in- cluded the Tea,l' the football game, and the dance . . .Despite the loss to Churchill, the 1968 Homecoming will not soon be forgotten.
