TRACK Injuries may have kept the 1969 Brahma track team from being much better...the team still ran well . . . barely missed repeating as district champion. . .such key members as Gary Caswell, Hal Vagtborg, Doug Bachman, Chad McHugh, and Don Haines missed meets due to injuries . . . the team was never really at full strength . . .Injuries forced constant shuf- fling of personnel . . . the group got big efforts from Mike Thompson, who won both hurdle events at district. . .Tom Snider, who broke the school high jump record.. .Caswe1l, who had one of the fastest quarter mile times in the state . . . Only Caswell placed at regionals. Third at Metro Meet Tenth at Border Olympics Fifth at N.E. Invitational Fifth at Mule Relays Second at District 30-AAAA Four Points at Regionals Hal Vatborg running the final leg of the mile relay at the district meet.
