V The junior varsity football team stumbled through a rather dismal 1-8 season . . .after soundly whipping South San, the team lost eight in a row. . .but five were by one touchdown or less . . . coach John Porter thought some good came from the losing sea- son . . . We did not win many games on the scoreboard, but the youngsters learned some valuable lessons that will help them in the next two years. Bill Cook gets dragged down from behind. Krietz We Lost So Many Very Tough 0nes Winning and losing close games is a part of any sport . . .But a predominantly junior Brahma basket- ball team had more than its share of tough losses in 1968-69 . . .Overall the club finished 10-18 . . .fourth in district 30-AAAA with a 5-7 record . . . numbered among the losses were eight by four points or less . . . three times the Brahmas were beaten in the last minute . . .but, led by all-district juniors Rick Celaya and Don Cardenas and seniors Glen Perkins and Steve Beck the team gave every opponent a run for its money. . .Coach Bill Moseley, disappointed by the record but proud of the effort simply stated . . .
