The Brahmas' second TD against Lee came who snagged the ball away from a Volunteer from a pass to Steve Stough in the end zone, safety in the fourth quarter. Brahmas Score Against Volunteers The Lee Volunteer's led the MacArthur Brah- mas 50-12, but the Brahmas still have the dis- tinction, with Edison, the only ISAAAA to score against the district champs. This was the longest ball game of the season as quarterbacks Bill Forney and Joe Matulich threw a total of 39 passes against a leaky Lee defense for two touchdowns. The Vols piled up points on the running talents of Linus Baer and Gary Kemp as they moved undefeated into a bidistrict playoff with Brackenridge.

Heights Squcezes by Mac in a 8-7 Battle The MacArthur-Heights game was a hearthreaker for the Brahmas. Mac fought fiercely but came out on the bottom hy one point. During the first half both Heights and MacArthur advanced to the one yard line but neither was able to score. In the second half, hallback Barney Harris took a punt on his 35 and returned it for a TD, the longest MacArthur punt return of the season. Harris slipped hy two tackles and scampered 65 yards to the end zone for the drive. Bill Forne-y's conversion gave Mac an edge of 7-0 at the half. With Larry Mangold and Scott Johnson out with injuries, the Mules put on a desperate ground attack. After marching 87 yards in 12 plays for the TD, the Mules sent Paul Loyd in for the game-clinching two points.
