The festivities started Friday afternoon with a parade down Peterson Avenue of old cars dating back to 1925. the year of the first graduating class of Douglas. The winning of the football game with Nashville that night added to the jubi- lance of the students. Following the football game a dance was held at the gym featuring Roy Rolle and his or- chestra which highlighted the events of the evening-the crowning of Dell Davis as Homecoming Queen.
