....,.,,X fr f'i . Q. ,,,x f s . - The month of October brought with it the annual FFA Rodeo. Aspiring cowboys rode steers, barrel raced, and roped cattle. Held at the county fair- grounds, this event is becoming one of the most popular of all events in the fall. Tri-Hi-Y initiated its new members during the Amphi football game. Dressed in costumes appropriate to the verse on their backs, they paraded for the fans during the game. Pep assemblies before the football games helped to raise spirit for the top-ranked Dawgs during October, as they easily defeated foes Catalina and Amphi. Early October also became preparation time for the coming D- week and initiation. The FFA Rodeo in October saw many students steer riding and calf roping. Skipper Adams tries his luck at roping a calf during the long day event. Falling off can be just as hard as staying on in steer riding, Steve Ewing learns, as Bob Gierke and Ron Grainger look on.
