Miss Doss-Alison Powell At Dixie Jr. Miss Alison Powell 86 ln the Calender Pagent PYN. , X ,sk , , K , M - .. x . , ,I X ' S . With friends Member of Who's Who The school staff voted Alison Powell as Miss Doss of I986. Alison has participated in a number of clubs, organizations, and activities since her freshman year at Doss, among these are: The Excel Program, Latin Club, Science Club, Student Council Secretary, The Ads Manager for the Annual Staff, the Calendar Pageant, Junior and Senior Powder Puff Football, The Free Enterprise System Business Seminar. She was also voted Most Attractive by the Senior Class, was a member of the Basketball Homecoming Court, and also a contestant in the Dixie Junior Miss Pageant. Alison holds a 3.75 g.p.a. and ranks twelfth in the Senior class. Her efforts have been evident by her being chosen a member of Who's Who in Foreign Language, Who's Who among American High School Students, and also receiving an Academic letter. After graduation, Alison plans to attend the University of Louisville and combine a career in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing Retail. The Myth staff asked Alison to express her feelings about the past four years at Doss, she replied, Doss has become my second home, l find it hard to believe l will soon be graduating and moving on. Over the years, l have been able to notice significant changes in the way I act and feel that only a school like Doss could bring about. The friendliness and concern of my teachers and of the staff have been a major part in my development. Not only has Doss taught me about education it has also taught me about life. I have learned to never give in to the pressures of the world, but instead to be my own person and to always look toward the positive side of life. 4-Miss Doss .. ...KS
