This year has been a special year for everyone associated with Doss High School and the communi- ty that surrounds it. The memories of this year are etched into our minds and hearts forever. For all of the underclassmen at Doss, the memories will continue to grow next year. For the seniors, the years of high school are now over and they have to almost start a whole new life, a life of adulthood. Many of the seniors will start a job as soon as possible. Many of them will go on to college for several more years. Whatever they choose to do with their lives, we all wish the seniors the best of luck always. Once again, this year the SADD Chapter returned to Doss High. The SADD Chapter was start- ed last year and gained recognition throughout the area, and this year it was just as big of a success as last year. The students really got in- volved in the chapter and seemed really concerned about driving while drinking. Always in everyone's minds are the sports at Doss. Last year we graduated a lot of outstanding football and basketball players which meant this year we had young. but promising, athletes. In every school year there are many activities that made the year special, and this year was no excep- tion. Some of the activities that received recognition this year were the National Honor Society and the Who's Who at Doss. Every year the Doss Pepsi Singers participate in a lot of activities throughout our community. This is also another reason Doss is so special. Everyone contributes to making a school special and the more that is done at that school, the more that school stands out in people's minds. AT YESTERDAY complished so much for all of the student body that it's impossible to thank all of them, but we would like to let them know that we appreciate all their support and help. There were a lot of new faculty members this year, and among them were a new counselor, an assistant princi- pal, and several new teachers. We would like to wish them good luck in the years to come, and to thank them for a great first year with us. These faculty members worked well with the rest of the staff and the student body seemed to get along well with them. No one is sure about the future or what it might hold for all of us, but one thing we all know for sure. is that the people at Doss are special and they'Il succeed in what- ever they decide to do. The time spent in high school can change our lives and how we think so much, but mostly it changes us in positive ways. Our high school years influ- ence us greatly and the people at Doss do their best to make sure we know where we're going when we graduate. Once again, we'd like to wish the seniors the best of luck always and hope this year was a very special one. Every year in high school is special, but your senior year is the one you will most remember. It seems to stand out in every' one's mind as the most special no matter what happened during the school year. So seniors, remember this year forever. It has often been said, Stand for something or you'll fall for anything. Those are words to live by. Everyone has strong feelings for different things and you have to stand by your feelings or you won't get very far in life.
