Last year the Doss Dragons Soccer team earned the right to enter the regional tournament, and this year the l985-86 Soccer team earned the same privilege. They had a fantastic season and finished with a I4f3 winflose record. The Dragons played a grueling game against the DeSales Colts determin- ing which team went on to play in the state tournament. In the first half of the game the Colts dominated by scoring two goals. Todd Hatfield scored a goal for Doss early in the second half, but the Dragons couldn't seem to keep up with the Colts. They lost 2fI. There were several outstanding players on the team this year who added a lot to the team, they were: Todd Hash, John Conard, Ricky Fowler, Todd Hatfield, Shanda Blair, Ronnie Vincent, and Keith Denton. SOUTHWEST O9fl7 S .lock Talk Shannon Porter had this to say about the Varsity Volleyball team: We had a very young team with only 4 Seniors who gave a great deal of help to our team. I believe that next year we will have the opportunity to TAKE STATE . Getting adjusted to a new coach and him getting adjusted to us, we will be better organized than we were this year. Coach Salyer stated this, The Dragons are a hard working bunch of young ladies who accomplished a winning season, both Varsity and Junior Varsity. They play with pride and have represented themselves and Doss High School most favorably.
