Jock Talk When asked to comment on their toughest team, David Cash said, I believe it would be P.R.P., because they're our most evenly matched team, and they're our rivals. DeSales was the most remembered game by several of the players, because it was the top of the seventh, and the game was tied. But the Colts scored, causing them to win the game and to go to State. ef We K 'WM J gal ? live Jeff connects with Danny for the out. ff! , 1, K 'fd sm 31 Is he safe. or is he out? Baseball- l65

The I984-85 Doss Dragonette ten- nis team consisted of one senior: LaDonna Koebel: two iuniors: Tamara Frazier, and Heidi Blessing, six sopho- mores: Jamie Barnes, Jill Wells, Kara Bowling, Terina Moser, Kelli Marcum, and Cheri Rodecap, and three freshmen: Kathy Jackson, Dee Clark, and Sarah Alvey. Four players returned to add their experience from past seasons to the determined efforts of the new mem- bers. They were LaDonna Koebel, Tamara Frazier, Heidi Blessing, and Jill Wells. ln his first year of coaching tennis at Doss, Kevin Salyer, played the dual role of boys and girls tennis coach. While giving of his time and sharing his knowledge of tennis he carefully guided the young team as they gained experience and confi- dence. A fp' With a 5-4 win-loss record for the 84-85 season the team finished fourth in their Region. According to the team their favorite match was Meade County at Doe Valley. Overlooking the fact that it was a losing day on the tennis courts the team had a winner of a time swimming in Doe Valley Lake on a windy and definitely chilly March day.
