The i985 Doss High School baseball team completed another season with a close win- lose record of I3-ll ln his third year of coaching the Dragons, Coach Calvin Biggs led one of the most talented young, but inexperienced, teams Doss has ever had. The Dragons started out a little slow this past season, when they only won five out of their first ten games. But this slump didn't last for long. They went on to win their next four games and then tied their next game against the tough team of Iroquois High. Despite a less than spectacular record of l3-l2, the Dragons had little difficulty defeating the Bearcats of Beth Haven to win the district championship. The Dragons made it all the way to the semi-finals of the region, where they lost to Desales 4-3. The outstanding players of the i985 Doss High School baseball team were sen- iors: Mike Potts and Neil Olliges. Other seniors include: Donnie Jaggers. David Lee, Rob Meecha, Paul Penland, David Sanford, and Tony Shircliff. Left to Right - Front Row: Tony Shircliff, Bryan Crum, Chris Harvry, Joey Troklus, Dustin Jacobs, Bruce Crum. Paul Penland. Jock Talk When asked to comment on their toughest team, David Cash said, I believe it would be P.R.P., because they're our most evenly matched team, and they're our rivals. DeSales was the most remembered game by several of the players, because it was the top of the seventh, and the game was tied. But the Colts scored, causing them to win the game and to go to State. ef We K 'WM J gal ? live Jeff connects with Danny for the out. ff! , 1, K 'fd sm 31 Is he safe. or is he out? Baseball- l65
