PM 4 Q J' Donnie and Cheri were among the more than ISO in attendance. W3 'J fi Spence and Melissa celebrate the evening. The theme of the Ring Dance was Take a look at Me Now by Phil Collins. The I984 Junior Class Officers were: David Sanford-Pres., Craig Smith-Vice Pres., Paul Smith-Secretary, and Chris Tunks-Treasur- er. Without the help of our Junior Sponsors, Mr. Nash, Mrs. O'Bryan and Mrs. Quisen- berry the ring dance would not have been possible. Seniors-Ring Day and Dance The Ring Ceremony is a traditional event in which the meaning of the ring and each symbol is ex- plained. After the explanation, each person is called up to receive his or her ring from our principal, Mr. Whitaker. On May 25, I984, the class of '85 gleamed with anticipation because they were now the leaders of the school. With the entertainment of Kim Hill, Rebecca Lee. Jeff Hornback and Laura Jacks, it was definitely a day to remember. After the ceremony, the new seniors were treated to cake and punch in the courtyard, supplied by the P.T.A. The seniors went to their friends to get a traditional turn of the ring, but they saved the 85th turn for someone special from whom they received a kiss. Later that night, the celebration continued. The Ring Dance was held at the Executive West in the Queen of Scots Ballroom. Dinner was supplied and pictures were taken by Morgan's Photography and by our own Mr. Magruder. From 92m to I:OO. every- one enjoyed themselves with dancing and music supplied by WLRS.
