Ballinger, Barrett, Beck, Bishop, Black, Bocko, JANICE BALLINGER teaches Home Economics. She earned her Bachelors degree from Western Kentucky and is working in a Rank One program. Outside school, Janice enjoys activities at church, sports, and crafts. SISTER MARY BARRETT is an Exceptional Education teacher in her second year at Doss. She believes her students are the best. They work hard to achieve and she feels it is a pleasure to work with them. In his second year at Doss is ARLAND BECK who teaches Exceptional Education, Arland has nineteen years experience in teaching. BROTHER BOB BISHOP teaches Citizenship and Sociology. Married 20 years, Bob has 2 sons and a daughter. Bob earned his B.S. at Campbellsville and his M.A. at Western Kentucky. T. A. BLACK has been teaching at Doss 8 of her 14 years in education. She teaches General Business and Typing I. Ms. Black is engaged and wants to begin a family soon after marriage. STEPHEN J. BOCKO, Jr, teaches U,S. History and Citizenship. As Head Football Coach, Steve and his teams have gone to the turf both of his two years at Doss. ln her fourth year at Doss is MRS. MAXINE BRI TTENTIME. Mrs. B has seventeen years experience in the system and serves as the Doss Plant Operator. Married and the mother of two, she enjoys walking and reading as well as church and community projects. RA Y BYERL Y is a Social Studies teacher. Having earned his Bachelors at Morehead and his Masters from Indiana University Southeast, he teaches U.S. History and Citizenship. Ray has taught at Doss for I2 years, is married and has two children. KAREN H. COOPER is one of the administrative office clerks. Karen has been with the school system live years and at Doss two. She is married and has two sons. One of the Social Studies teachers is FRANK CUN- NINGHAM who teaches U.S. and World History. He also is the newspaper and yearbook sponsor. A graduate of Morehead State and the University of Louisville, this is his l4th year of teaching. ANITA DALRYMPLE is a graduate of both the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky. With I7 years in the school system, she has been at Doss 8 years. Anita teaches Spanish as well as U.S, History, Also she serves as a Senior Class Sponsor and sponsors the Spanish Club. BILL DALRYMPLE is one of the Health and PE teachers. Serving as an Assistant Football Coach, Bill enjoys golhng and refinishing furniture in his spare time. She brings thirty years of experience in education to her present position as Guidance Counselor. Mrs. Porter is a graduate of Lincoln Institute High, Ken- tucky State University, Indiana University, and holds her Rank l from U of L. dx fv f-'CN .,X iii JANE H. STANSBURYserves this year as the Senior Class Counselor. This year of working with the Class of '83 has been a particularly rewarding experience according to Mrs. Stansbury. She has seventeen years experience in Jefferson County and Hfteen years here at Doss. Mrs. Stansbury earned her degree from Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky. Counselors JOE ANN BLAIR brings thirteen years of experience to her position as Assistant Principal. She earned both her bachelors and masters from the University of Louisville. Additionally, Ms. Blair holds Rank I certiHcation in both Administration and Supervision. Her hobbies include reading, growing plants, and camping. EARL L. MAGRUDER, JR. serves as an Assistant Principal. With twenty-lour years experience in education, Mr. Magruder has been at several schools including Manly Jr. High, Noe Middle, Thomas Jefferson High, and Valley High among others. Mr. Magruder earned his bachelors from the University of Louisville and his masters and Rank I from Western Kentucky. He enjoys golf and tennis in his leisure time. if CECIL G. STEEN is in his fourteenth year at Doss and this year worked mainly with the Sophomore and Junior Classes. He has a total of twenty years experience with the Jefferson County Schools. Estes, M. Estes, REVELLA SAMMYE DAY is the Secretary to our Principal. Sammye has been at Doss all eight of her years with the school system. Married and the mother of three daughters, two of her daughters are Doss graduates and her youngest is a Doss junior this year. DONALD W. DEETCH teaches Drafting l and ll along with Metal Shop land Il. He has been teaching nine years, this being his lirst at Doss. His Bachelors degree is from Western Kentucky where is presently working on a Masters degree in Guidance. Teaching English and Humanities is MARIAN JANE DEMIC who has been at Doss twelve of her seventeen years in our school system. A graduate of the University of Texas, she now holds a Rank One certilication from U of L. Marian has been married to Joe Warren Demic for forty years and they have four sons. Serving as one of the Doss Custodians is BRENDA PETERS. The mother of two daughters, she enjoys bowling in her leisure time. Teaching English is MRS. GERALDINE ESTELLE. She has seventeen years experience in Jefferson County, eight of those here at Doss. Married twenty-seven years, Geraldine traveled extensively with her husband in the Service. She looks forward to a time when students come to school with the primary purpose of learning and enjoys working with her students. Lunchroom Assistant Mrs. Imogene Estes has been with the Jefferson County Schools and at Doss for fifteen years. She is married and has two daughters. MRS. MAYDEL ESTES is a Lunchroom Assistant and Cashier who has sixteen years experience with the schools and thirteen years here at Doss. Maydel's two children, Roger and Sherry. are both Doss graduates, She has been married 27 years. MRS. HELEN FAULKNER is one ofthe Doss Custodians. She has eight years experience, all at Doss. Helen is married and has two married daughters and two grandsons. JOSEPH G. FRESHLEY teaches the Youth Development Class. Joe has eight years experience and is in his second year at Doss. A graduate of Western Kentucky, he is married and the proud father ofa ten month old daughter, Sarah Elizabeth. Joe is Assistant Basketball Coach for the VarsityfBoys. With a bachelors from Spalding College and a Rank I certification from U of L, MRS. SHIRLEY A. HAGAN has four years at Doss and fourteen in the system. She has been married nineteen years and has a son and daughter. Shirley teaches Exceptional Education classes. ANITA HARTWEIN is the Doss High Library Clerk. She is married and has three children and two granddaughters. Anita has Hfteen years experience, all at Doss. She has worked at Doss since it opened. Teaching English and Chairman ofthat department is JEAN HA TFIELD. Jean has Hfteen years teaching experience, all at Doss. She enjoys Shakespeare, bass Hshing, and conversation with positive thinking people. She also reads many fascinating research papers. 97
