She has always been involved in numerous activities in and out of school, including, Junior and Senior Class President, Pepsi Cola Generation Singers, Choir, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Tennis Team, PIPPIN Cast Players, St. Paul 's Catholic Church Prayer Group and Youth Group, American Legion Dixie Post 220 Girl s Auxilliary, Bacon 's and Seventeen's 1982-83 Fashion Teen Board, and many more. In the future she plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University, majoring in mass communication and public relations with a minor in advertisement. Jean Ann also plans to travel perhaps combining her career with traveling. Hoping to someday hold an elected political ofliee, Jean Ann also sees marriage and a family in her future. Volunteer medical work appeals to Jean Ann. The Myth asked Jean Ann to summarize her feelings about her years at Doss. In her words, Doss has become a great part of me . l believe it is what I am made of inside. As the days get closer to graduation l often sit and think that when I leave this school, a part of me will be gone and I 'll feel an emptiness within, a loss of friends, feelings and love. But most importantly, a part of Doss will remain within me and a part of me will remain at Doss. l'll always cherish this school as my home: I 've grown with this school, and I believe wc are both a lot stronger than the day we began. To me, Doss is me. Many things I love and cherish are here, most importantly my friends. .lean Ann ranks llth in the Senior Class and has received many awards praising her efforts such as Who's Who at Doss High School, National Honor Society, Scholastic Letter, Senior Favorite - Accomplished Most for Doss, and Whos Who Among Foreign Language Students. Joe Olliges has a 3.3 grade point average and has been involved in a great number of activities. llc is in the Beta Club, Spanish Club, Track Team, Cross Country, and Who's Who at Doss High School. Joe was the winner of the She-Male contest, Senior Favorite - Best Personality, and All State Cross Country. He has been voted all county in the mile and Joe holds the school record for the mile at Doss. After finishing high school Joe plans to attend college, major in computer 20 science, and continue competitive running. As a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Joe has worked as a lifeguard during the summer and did volunteer lifeguarding for the handicapped. We asked Joe how he felt about Doss and in his words he feels, I Hnd the spirit and enthusiasm of the Doss community outstanding. The faculty, students, and supporters of Doss all work together to nurture a great learning environment and an overall cooperative spirit that makes Doss ll.
