Class of '83 Ring Cerem on f 7 X Karen Clay looks for someone to turn her ring. D1-yum Q A... Q i Nw May 28, 1982 was an important day in the lives of the members of the Class of '83. The Ring Ceremony was held in the Doss gymnasium with parents and underclassmen in the audience. The underclassmen looked on with envy and the parents beamed with pride and satisfaction. The ceremony was intended to assist the new seniors in better understanding of the meaning of the ring design and the full meaning of what being a SENIOR is all about. The ceremony itself was only the beginning, the real celebration began at the traditional Ring Dance held at the Holiday Inn South. Entertainment for the evening was provided by the band, Caribou. It was truly an evening to remember for the Class of '83, The Junior class officers were .lean Ann Padgett, President: Mi- chelle Vittitow, Vice-Presidentg Carol Evans, Secretaryg and Kenny Ford, Treasurer. Junior class sponsors were Mr. Stallings, Mr. and Mrs. Dalrym- ple, Mrs. Hagan, and Ms. Leonard. These ofHcers and sponsors worked incredibly hard along with some class members to prepare for all the successful activities that went with Ring Day. Enjoying the ceremony are Becky Crum, Mary Crutcher, and Missy Danzinger. Tim Crowder gives Becky Crum a traditional turn of her ring. '83 Seniors hold up their rings and gleam with pride.
